My Training Theory
At Reach the Summit Dog Training I believe in building strong, positive relationships between dogs and their owners. My mission is to provide effective science-based training solutions that enhance communication and understanding. Partnership creates the best results! My passion is helping you create a dog that not only listens but wants to listen!

Training offered
Private Lessons
Private lessons offer one on one training to work on whatever areas you're needing help with. Some basic manners examples are sit stays, recall, loose leash walking, stop jumping and handler engagement. I also offer behavioral modification for your more intricate behaviors for reactive dogs or insecure dogs needing confidence building. No dog limit, your time is spent however you choose. No breed restrictions or age limits
In Public
$65hr / $40 half hour
Depending on time of year I am open to meeting in various locations. Parks, dog friendly stores such as Lowes or Bass Pro, trails ect
In your Home
$70hr / $45 half hour
I offer in home lessons depending on location. Reach out to me to see if you're in my service area. I do service most of the Matsu Valley and North Anchorage
At my Home/Yard
$60hr / $35 half hour
Weather permitting training in my large yard or for a select few situations I have a small indoor training room
Discounts***
For all one hour private lessons, buy 3 and get 4th one half off! Pay as you go and 4th lesson will be discounted half off. Payments due at the end of each session
Miscellaneous
I also offer competition training as well for sports such as AKC Rally, Obedience, Agility, Bird work ect. Message me for more details!
AKC Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog
I am an evaluator for AKC CGC, CGCA, CGCU and trick dog. I offer CGC prep and testing.
Seasonal
I often hold special classes such as hiking manners or polite in public. Keep an eye on social media for those to pop up!

I have worked, trained, and learned beside Stephanie for years. She is a fantastic trainer, and I love seeing all of the things she has accomplished with both her own dogs and her client dogs. She is patient and kind. She always looks for the most positive way to achieve goals with the dogs. I’ve watched first hand her agility performance with her own dogs and have been so amazed with how hard she’s worked to get where she’s at today. Stephanie is the absolute best trainer! We have one dog who is an absolute handful and Stephanie got him to follow basic commands instantly. We were ready to throw in the towel until we met her and we are SO GLAD we did! Thank you for all of your hard work with Walter!
